Quality Care by Professionals you can Trust
Types of Care
Wellington House is a specialised residential unit for individuals over 65 who have a diagnosis of dementia or individuals that require similar care and support needs.
Most of our residents are permanent but we also offer short-term care for those needing some respite. Wellington House also operates a day care programme. Respite and Day care are excellent ways of seeing what is on offer before making a decision to come in to the home permanently and often works as a useful way of familiarising yourself with the different aspects of the home.
We welcome both residents who are self-funding and those receiving financial support.
Home Away from Home
At Wellington House we don't accept that losing some of your ability to look after yourself also means losing your individuality, privacy, dignity and love for life.
Our residents come from varying backgrounds for a variety of reasons. What ever the reasons, we will ensure that we develop a care programme to suit your personal needs and interests.
Family, friends and other visitors are always welcome at Wellington House.
Staff are friendly and fully trained and most have been working at the home for many years and live locally.
Our Facilities
Wellington House has 33 individual en suite bedrooms. All rooms are offered fully furnished and have TV points. Residents are however encouraged to bring their own possessions to make it feel like home.
Our residents are encouraged to mix and make friends in the comfortable day rooms, dinning room, the conservatory or those who are green fingered are encouraged to spend time in the garden.
A wide selection of activities, organised by our award winning activities coordinator, is on offer including visiting entertainers, arm chair aerobics or sometimes just game of skittles or a walk into town, nothing is ever too much for the staff of Wellington House.
